Kürvers Piping is a group of companies with
the same name, the same purpose and the
same owner structure. This approach allows
for global presence on the one hand whilst
remaining a comparatively small organisa-
tion with short lines of communications on the
other.

The Business Philosophy

The group started in 1966 with the founding
of Horst Kürvers GmbH. At that time, Horst
Kürvers found that projects for the Oil & Gas
industries were not best served by existing
supply structures. He focused on providing
complete packages of materials and services
from several sources to the customer.

This principle still governs the activities of the
whole group. Material stocks can be built up
where necessary and useful, but generally
Kürvers will try to fulfill their customer needs
by combining several sources into one
package. In this case, Kürvers can take
special advantage of their global presence
that allows for easy and controllable access to
purchasing markets all over the world.

The group is made up from specialists within a
trading framework rather than a trading orga-
nisation with departments performing dedi-
cated functions. Thus, the person negotiating
with a potential client is not only responsible
for selling but is also accountable for project
performance, whether commercial, technical or
from an organisational point of view.

It is commonplace for several Kürvers compa-
nies to combine their resources and specific
market positions in order to meet project
requirements. The customer has the bene-
fit of dealing with one contact person in a
team dedicated to supplying whatever the
project needs.
